Simba's World - John Force Racing

Cat Blog
October 2010

I know that Simba usually blogs first, and I get to say a few things at the end (which no one probably ever reads!) but this time I, Gizmo Bear Hood, get to blog about our month of October, otherwise known as the glorious month adorable little me came into this world!

October 7 was my 1st birthday, and you’ll be surprised to know that Ashley had a party for me. I know this is shocking and so out of the ordinary for her. She even made cute photo invitations and had her family over to celebrate! It was so much fun and a very big deal because you only turn 1 once! That morning she got up and put some Christmas music on (instrumental so she says it’s not totally Christmas themed) and cleaned up the house and started cooking and baking. Then she went off to work for a little while and I did my best to keep Simba from messing anything up. (I finally had to let him use the sandbox when he told me not using it would be a bigger problem!) Still, we did a good job of keeping off the couches, and not knocking over any of the decorations since all of her fall décor is up.

That reminds me, I did get in trouble the morning of my birthday, which I think I should let everyone know about. Ashley yelled at me. On my birthday. Sad, I know. She felt really bad too when she realized what day it was but it was like 3 in the morning. She had set up this little fall village of a pumpkin patch, market, apple pickers and bails of hay. Well, when they had been gone at a race the weekend before I had jumped up and had some fun. They got home to find a hay bail up in the bathroom, and a miniature sack of potatoes on the stairs. She stopped and looked at it for a minute but told Dan that Quinlan, their friends 1 year old, must have been playing with the village when they came to feed us. Nope! It was me! Well, in the early morning hours of my birthday I decided to play again. But I accidently knocked the apple picker off the table and it broke in to a million pieces. They came running down the stairs and found me at the scene of the crime. I got in trouble. Then she realized it was officially my birthday and she picked me up, gave me kisses and apologized. What a sucker!

The party was great, and Brittany, Courtney, Autumn and Adria brought me all kinds of cool toys (I even got a cat nip cigar, but Ashley won’t let me use it until I’m 18) and it was so much fun to play in all the tissue paper as well! Simba and I got extra treats that night, but the next morning, ohh, I was feeling it. I ended up getting sick and Ashley said it was just too much partying and excitement for me the night before. We had a great time though. I can’t wait to be 2! -Gizmo

Gizmo is so spoiled. He broke the apple picker and didn’t even get in trouble! He also ate the tissue paper which is why he was sick, and not from too much partying. We did have fun though and the good thing is that Gizmo got so many toys he can’t possibly play with them all, which means new toys for me as well!
