Simba and Gizmo’s June Blog

This month has been a very busy time for in the racing world and Ashley and Dan have been on the road a lot. They are usually gone on the weekends however this past month they’ve also had to stay on the road through the week. Though we usually either stay with Brittany and Courtney, or have our neighbors Josh and Jen check in on us, this month we’ve gotten to spend a little time with Ashley’s mom Laurie, since she’s been watching us during the weekdays that they’ve been gone.

Laurie is great to stay with because she spoils us!! She lets us roam around the house and play out on the patio, gives us treats and is always petting us! Even when we cause trouble, she never gets mad and instead takes photos of us and sends them to Ashley out on the road! Last week Gizmo got stuck in the piano and once Laurie had safely rescued him she hugged him. I broke through the screen door on the window upstairs and escaped to the top of the patio (Gizmo followed of course) and instead of getting upset with us Laurie just ran and grabbed her camera!

We have a lot of fun staying with Laurie especially since we don’t get to stay with her all that often as she’s usually with Ashley and Dan on the road. Plus, there are more bathrooms here, which means more toilet paper rolls to play with. I don’t think Laurie is even aware of a few of the rolls we’ve unraveled in the bathroom down the hall and upstairs! Maybe she’ll just think it was Brittany or Courtney that did it! Shhh! Don’t tell on us! Regardless if she guesses it was us or not, we know she’ll take a picture and send it to Ashley! -Simba

I love staying with Ashley’s mom because there are lots of birds and bunnies out the windows for us to watch! When Simba broke through the screen it was the coolest thing ever! We thought we’d pulled off our escape until we saw the flash of Laurie’s camera. We still miss Ashley and Dan though and hope they bring us back toys from their trips! -Gizmo
