Simba's World - John Force Racing

Simba’s October Blog

I can’t believe it’s already October! I’m so excited because my owners Ashley and Dan and I are big holiday people and the holiday season is just around the corner! This also means the race season has almost come to an end for the year which is great news for me, the adorable cat, because that means my owners are coming home for more than just a few days at a time but for months straight! That’s purrrrfect!

The race season isn’t over yet however and now it’s crunch time. Ashley is #2 in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship points. Guess who is #1? Her brother in law Robert! Robert and his family (Ashley’s older sister Adria and 5 year old niece Autumn) have a cat as well. Her name is Lilly and she’s my cousin! I’m not very happy about Lilly and her peeps going around Ashley in the points. It’s war now and even though blood is thicker than water, the person who feeds me is above everyone else! So it’s on between me and Lilly! Her family is pretty nice though. I guess if Ashley can’t win, then I will root for Robert, Ashley’s dad and Mike Neff to win. We are one team. But I still have a soft spot for my owner, and I know Lilly will be cheering on hers. I’m planning on attending the final two races of the year, Las Vegas and Pomona, to give Ashley and her team my moral support. And of course to see all of my fans since I know they’ve been asking about me! And I’ll need to figure out what I’m going to be for Halloween because if I don’t, I know Ashley will dress me up in some horribly ridiculous costume like a Scaredy Cat or something! I’m thinking of being Dog the Bounty Hunter…

The beginning of Fall wouldn’t be complete with out the decorations. And as always, Ashley went to town last week and filled our home with all kinds of pumpkins, leaves and other Fall décor. The place smells like a dang acorn! There are candles everywhere! And they are never scents that I enjoy, like salmon and halibut. No, they are Pumpkin Pie and Apple Cider! Who likes the smell of that?!

Have a great month and I hope to see you all at the Las Vegas event in a few weeks. We can all cheer on Ashley dressed as ghosts and goblins, and Dog of course!
